Hometown
Eric Pemper attended college in San Diego, California. However, he was born in Columbus, Ohio. Eric knew he was home from the minute he arrived to San Diego for freshman year. The city spoke to him offering him plenty of adventures and attractions.At the edge of downtown San Diego sits Balboa Park. Balboa Park is the nation's largest urban cultural park. It is a 1,200-acre cultural and recreational park offering a little bit of everything for everyone. There are 15 major musems, renowned performing arts venues, spectacular gardens and the San Diego Zoo. Eric Pemper really loves to visit Balboa Park for a night with friends watching a musical event. With some much to do at Balboa park no body will know where to start, luckily there is a visitor center where can you find out what events are happening and what places to see.
Visiting San Diego would not be worth trip if it weren't for the Seaport Village. A 14 acre waterfront complex filed with dining, shopping, and entertainment. Seaport Village is located in Downton San Diego on the harbor. The village opened 1980 and has expanded to 54 one of a kind boutique shops, 4 fine dining waterfront restaurants, 13 casual eateries, close proximity to local hotels. For the days where Eric Pemper would want to treat himself to something nice, he would visit Seaport Village for a fine dinner.
Eric Pemper loves trying new things, especially active sports. San Diego offers us the chance to go kayaking, snorkeling, and diving. The most desriable spot in San Diego to do these water sports is at La Jolla Cove. The water is calm and ecologically protected, therefore no surf boards, body boards, or any other floatation devices are allowed in the water. La Jolla Cove has many caves and alluring caves making it the most photographic beac in San Deigo.
San Diego is populated with many museums. One museum that Eric Pemper is fascinated about is the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. The San Diego Model Railroad Museum researches, collects, preserves, and presents the histroy of American railroading. The museum is located in Balboa Park displaying minature respsentations of California railroads and offering educational programs to visitors to learn about the American railroad heritage.
Like any other ordinary man, Eric Pemper loves cars. On his free days from school, Eric Pemper and friends would sometimes head on down to the San Diego Automotive Museum. The museum tells the stories of past, present, and the future of automotive cars. The San Diego Automotive Museum would tell these social and technological stories through educational programs, collections, and exhibtions. The museum is located in Balboa Park.
During his college years, Fall season meant to two things for Eric Pemper; the start of another year at UC San Diego and the start of another season of San Diego Charger football. Living in San Diego, Eric Pemper quickly came to appreciate and support the local football team, the San Diego Chargers. The San Diego Chargers play at Qualcomm Stadium where 70,561 Charger fantatic can come to watch their team play. The stadium is located in the heart of Mission Valley, just a couple of minutes away from Downtown San Diego.
Education
In 2001, Eric Pemper graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and a minor in history/poly sci from the University of California, San Diego.There many colleges in the nation that go compete against UC San Diego. In 2011, UCSD ws ranked best college in the nation, beating UCLA, SDSU, Stanford, Berkley, Harvard, and Princeton and many other well-known schools. UC San Diego is heavily known for their schools in engineering and medicine.
Among enginerring and medicine, UC San Diego's academic PH.D programs for social sciences and humanities are also highly ranked. These two graduate programs were ranked the best in the nation in 2014.
There have been recognizable people to graduate from UC San Diego. Actor, director, and writer Mike Judge, creator of the funny film "Office Space" and award winning T.V. series "King Of The Hill" attended and graduated from UCSD. Two other UC San Diego alumni include Bill Atkinson and Guy "Bud" Tribble, these two helped create the first Apple Macintosh computer.
College can be tough on students and it is always great to go out and fun to relieve the stress from midterms and projects. Eric Pemper surely felt this stress and pressue, however was able to still figh through it. The beach is relatively close to the campus, walking distance to say the least. Eric Pemper would go out and catch some waves with friends, especially on those hot California days.
The college puts on a music festival for their students. The festival offers a time for relaxation and builds a strong relationship between the faculty staff members and students. In the 1980s the Sun God Festival was started. Carnival games, student booths and vendors, and popular musicians are all attractions of the Sun God Festival. In the past, UC San Diego has had the honor of having Drake, Snoop Dogg, Cake, Social Distortion and many more to perform at thier festival.
Hobbies
Eric Pemper is an active advocate of health and fitness. The many physical activities that he enjoys are jogging, swimming, and martial arts. He also engages in meditation, reading, and spending time with his close circle of friends and family.Eric Pemper has found that reading is great for keeping his business mind sharp. Reading keeps improves your vocabulary and cirtical thinking, all important factors for being a successful entrepreneur. Eric Pemper has also found that reading contributes to reducing stress. Running a business can get very stressfull; dealing with deadlines, clients, and managing a number workers. Reading reduces stress faster than other methods.
To stay healthy and fit, Eric Pemper will take a nice jog in the morning. Morning jogs keep Eric Pemper awake and alert throughout the day while conducting business. Jogging is a great way to stay in shape, increase stamina and cardio, and ultimately relieve you from stress.
